All is well for now, but I have some trepidation regarding the approaching NextPVR 5, which will be the first cross-platform version. A few days later I updated to version 4.2.4, which not only works on Vista but solves an issue encountered by some users, including myself (NPVRTSReader4 was too intolerant of corruption in the stream, resulting in occasional VCRUNTIME140.dll crashes). I am now turning my attention to Windows 10, 1803, and trying to see what the smeg is causing thisīehavior, but judging by the numerous threads I have come across thus far, I have an inkling that I have a starting point at least.I pointed out NextPVR in my March 4 post. (It is more _d _ than the most _d _ thing that's ever been totally _d _ before). It just does does not freakin work right regardless of any MrMC SMB settings. The same issues persist with LiveTV and shares to folders on my PC, using AppleTV4k. Tonight I spent hours installing fresh 1803 from latest media creation tool, and fresh install of MediaPortal TV Server, just to try and eliminate that my Windows 10 was not corrupted. The only constant is my PC has been updated to build 1803 of Windows 10. This indicates that the TVOS 12 is not the issue, and also that MrMC current version appears not to be an issue either, as the previous versions do the same thing. (I had them packed away, as had updated to AppleTV4k's after getting a new TV)īoth of them do the same thing, and can not connect to shares on my Windows 10 PC hosting MediaPortal.
I have a couple of AppleTV 4's still running pre 3.7 versions of MrMC, and on TVOS 11.x. I actually think that the 1803 build has fubar'd Networking. Plex service working perfect, and can play movies and TV shows fine, but shares and LiveTV are more dead than disco. Is anyone experiencing similar?, as I am completely perplexed as to what is happening. It works perfectly, so seems to indicate the issue is not sharing access issue, but a networking issue with the AppleTV's. To confirm this, I setup the same PVRaddon on my Surface running Kodi. I have checked, and the folders on my PC are shared correctly. This is occurring on both AppleTV's running MrMC. Likewise, SMB shares no longer work at all. It lists the channels, but when I select a channel, I just get black screen, and error message about being unable to access the time shift folder on the PC running MediaPortal. The MediaPortal PVR addon in MrMC seems to run normally, and imports the guide and channel data.
LiveTV and shared folders via SMB no longer function. I use Mediaportal running on Windows 10 PC, and use 2 AppleTV 4K's running MrMC for LiveTV, and the Plex service for Movies and TV.Īpple released TVOS update, which has updated both my AppleTV4k's.
